Maoists free eight abducted labourers

Patna, Jan 30 (IANS) Maoists Wednesday released eight labourers they abducted in Bihar three days ago, police said.

The release took place in Jamui district after security forces launched a search operation for the men, Superintendent of Police Upendra Sharma told IANS.

The workers were seized at gunpoint by more than 50 Maoists Sunday after a company constructing a bridge there refused to pay protection money to the rebels.
