Nuclear Power Corporation team inspects Rajauli site for 1,400 MW plant

Patna,(BiharTimes): A team of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited inspected a site at Rajouli in Nawada where the Centre is planning to set up a 1,400 MW nuclear power plant.
Replying to a short notice question of BJP member Anandi Prasad Yadav in the state Assembly on Friday Power Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav said that the state government has assured to provide 160 cusecs of water from the Ganga river for the project.


He said the inspection report was awaited.
Atomic Energy Commission chief Ratan Kumar Sinha, who was recently in Bihar, had given a positive signal for a nuclear power plant in Bihar to boost the availability of electricity. Sinha is originally from Bihar and former student of Bihar College of Engineering, now NIT, Patna.
