Bihar Diwas concludes in a Holi mood

Patna,(BiharTimes): The three-day Bihar Diwas celebration concluded on Sunday with noted singer, Daler Mehndi, mesmerizing the crowd with his numbers.

For three days it was too much of music for Patnaites, soon to be followed by colour––in fact the festival of colour. On March 29 it is Good Friday, thus the last financial month of the year witnessed too much of festivals––religious as well as cultural.

At a separate function on Sunday Ronu Mazumdar of Mahihar gharana captivated the crowd with his flute recital. Apart from this famous Bharatnatyam artiste Malvika Sarukkai, charmed the select gathering with “Suryanamsakaram”.

At the Patna Literature Festival (PLF) chief minister Nitish Kumar announced that he would institutionalize the literature festival as part of the Bihar Diwas celebrations every year. This was the first time that Patna hosted a literature festival and the credit for it goes to Pawan Kumar Verma, former diplomat and now cultural advisor to the chief minister.
