The problems faced by the people of two districts of Sheikhpura and Nawada falling on Kiul-Gaya Section of ECRly could not be cared to be solved by the Railway Minister. These two districts have no direct connection to the National Capital of Delhi and State Capital of Patna. The demands to divert either Vikramshila or Bhagalpur-
Delhi Express via Kiul-Gaya-Mughalsarai Section were ignored.
A link Express to the State Capital of Patna from Kiul-Gaya Section and diversion of either Vikramshila or Bhagalpur Delhi Express vial Kiul-Gaya-Mughasarai Section having exactly the same distance from Kiul to Mughalsarai as from main line would have served the purpose of meeting the peoples demand.
To bring relief to the people of Kiul-Gaya Section visiting Delhi it was suggested that at least one coach of Ac3 and one coach of Sleeper II be attached in 3023/3024 Howrah-Gaya Express and reservations from intermediate stations for different stations of the section to Delhi be made and these coaches be
attached/detached in Mahabodi Express at Gaya. Beisides this it was suggested to convert 719/720 Gaya-Kiul Passenger into express numbered as 3401A/3402A up to Kiul to be linked to 3401/3402 Bhagalpur-Danapur Intercity Express but none of the suggestions was looked into. Had these suggestions been included in the Budget there would have been direct connection to Delhi and Patna. These suggestions were free from any extra expenditure to the railway.
Though the CPI office bearers of Sheikhpura and Nawada Districts have been holding Dharnas at different stations of this Section on the 10th of every month since 10th December last for introducing direct trains on this section linking Patna and Delhi besides doubling and electrifying the section yet none of the demands is taken care of.
The proposed Kamakhya-Gaya Express and Ranchi-Bhagalpur Express via Kiul as announced by the Railway Minister in the Budget must run via Sahjbganj Loop - Kiul-Gaya section. The distance from Kamakhya to Gaya via Siuri-Asansol will be 1207 Kms whereas it would come down to 1199 Kms. via Kiul - Gaya Section without
reversing the engine but in case of via Siuri-Asansol the engingine shall have to face reversal at two places of Pakur and Durgapur. Similarly the distance from Ranchi to Bhagalpur via Kiul-Gaya section will be 556 Kms. via Kiul - Gaya Section and 520 Kms. via Chittranjan-Kiul section . Reversal of engine shall be reqired once in both the cases but running via Kiul-Gaya section shall have an advantage to the people of Parasnath, Hazaribagh , Koderma, Gaya, Nawada, Sheikhpura and Luckeesarai to have a direct link to Ranchi May I expect that the Railway Minister shall consider these suggestions and also start the left over construction of Sheikhpura-Barbigha-Biharsharif-Daniawan-Neora new B.G Line sanctioned by the then Railway Minister Shri Nitish Kumar which was scheduled to be completed by 2007 ?
In short people of this section do not welcome the Budget for the reasons stated above.
