Prof Amartya Sen and MEA to answer the tough questions

Thakur Vikas Sinha

I must congratulate you for bringing this issue to the fore.
This issue has once more made us aware that we need to be extremely vigilant about these things. Bihar has suffered a lot due to negligence at Delhi. This is one more example of the same. It is both immoral and illegal that Nalanda Univesity is functioning from Delhi when the act passed by the parliament provides for its functioning from the Nalanda district of Bihar. The failure is appears that of the centre and they should be made accountable for the same.

Prof Amartya Sen and MEA have to answer the tough questions that have been put up and come up with a concrete plan to start the university in right earnest. It is very sad that when even foreigners have been supportive of the idea of a world class university at Nalanda, our own Indians brothers and sisters sitting at Delhi and elsewhere have been most negligent and irresponsible in this regard. I fervently wish that some MPs from Bihar take up the issue at the next session of the parliament and take to task the authorities responsible for the mess.
