In the last few days some newspapers have been publishing news items to suggest that the Hindus who have been found indulging in Hawala transaction are part of the Indian Mujahedin group. The NIA is being dragged in to lend some credibility to the story . To the best of our knowledge none of those arrested have confessed to sharing the avowed objective of the IM- ie the destruction of the Hindu ( Kafir ) state, nor of being angels of revenge for the atrocities committed on Muslims . The Indian Mujahideen harks back to that history of domination and subjugation of Hindus and the brutal tyrants like Gazhni form part of their pantheon .We have no knowledge whether any of those arrested have confessed to sharing this ideology and their Hwawala transactions were in conscious advancement of this design. A website run by a former journalist is foremost in the dissemination of this line of thought the terror group is a combine outfit and its obsessive posts on the FB point to no other aim than advancing this mischievous propaganda .
Hawala is an age old mode of illegal transfer of money and has been used for decades by smugglers of gold and expatriates to remit their income back home . A n economic survey suggested that about 60 to 70 % of the remittances by men , mostly Muslims in Middle east . Quatar , Abu Dhabi and various other countries are made through Hawala because it is fast , it is reliable and absolutely paperless which many of the semi literate or illiterate people prefer . not only Patna but way out places are full of such operators and a majority of them are Hindus .Hawala for all practical purposes functions like a bank - and banks do not ask the purpose or motive for the transaction of their clients . Let us take another example - if the Chief Minister of some state and renowned criminals or terrorists of that state visit the same prostitute do they, by mere fact of using the same source for satisfying their lust, become compatriots.
The trouble is that it is not merely a matter of ignorance.There are sinister motives behind it . Every time that there is such an incident of terrorism whcih points to IM a very vocal section of Muslims immediately takes up cudgels on their behalf either as apologists , or as defenders or faith .Without verifying the facts , without waiting for the investigation to be completed . Criminals are criminals and must be treated as such . The vast majority of Muslims just keeps silent . It does not prefer to register its views . This is what gives that miniscule fanatic lunatic fringe of Hindus to spit fire and radicalize sane , secular and right thinking people.Thus the fringe group like IM casts a much larger shadow than its actual size. the radicalization of both Hindus as well as Muslims is what is on their agenda. the Bihar chief Minister , has been stung by the rise and rise of Narendra Modi so much that he has lost his sense of balance and judgment . What he fails to realize is that a large body of sane and moderate Hindus are feeling discomfited by the rise of Narendra Modi and blame Nitish Kumar squarely for it.
