Thanks to the Chief Minister of Bihar

with reference to my earlier mail dated 3rd June, 2008 regarding recognizing the achievements of sons and daughters of Bihar, I express my sincere and heart-felt thanks to the great visionary Chief Minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar jee for blessing the successful students from the Super-30 Institute of Patna for their 100% selection in IIT-JEE - 2008 and announcing that the Bihar Govt. would bear the cost of their education at IIT. The Hon'ble Chief Minister has also announced Rs. 50,000 cash reward for all successful students.

This is a great honour to the deserving and highly talented students of Bihar. Further, your announcement to initiate a new scheme to honour all successful sons and daughters of Bihar to recognize and promote talents from the state is highly praisworthy.

In this regard, a High Power Committee consisting of Academicians or Persons of International Repute, may be constituted to prepare a comprehensive list of all sons and daughters of Bihar who have proved theit mettle and earned a name for himself in any field, may be science, arts, commerce, technocrats, music, mass media, or social service or any other categories WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIHAR. The services rendered by these emminent persons should be duly recognized and honoured and also brought to fruitful interlinking with the over all goal of development of a new Bihar.

Referring to Dr. R. P. Raman's view and addressing our Chief Minister as "Visionary", I am delighted to read Dr. Raman's respect towards CM and why not, if I correctly re-call, no previous Chief Minister (at least 15 years long rule of M/s. Laloo and Rabri Devi) previously granted such an amount, as a token of their excel in IIT-JEE exams.

No doubt, our CM wants to work for the betterment of Bihar State and is working on "Vision 2020", as set by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, if implemented honestly and sincerely, Bihar State can become a developed state.  Secondly, as the present government of Bihar is now bearing all cost pertaining to their studies at IITs, now the students in-turn must give bounty to our State rather than slipping to other places.  Even if they contribute to any other places, all should remembers the kind gesture and reward given by Nitishjee.
